For this boxed set of zines, four different kinds of paper were sent to 14 different artists, artist groups, gallerists, and publishers with the goal of putting together an exhibition in the form of a book. Contributors were chosen based on their dedication to printed matter as an art form and on their diversity in age and location, so as to present the wide-ranging diversity within the world of artists’ bookmaking. The resulting collection reflects a variety of strategies and methodologies - from Asher Penn’s exhaustive documentation of the mundane to Kristoffer Kjærskov’s investigation into the physical properties of paper. Each zine is stitch-bound with a vellum cover.
