Lubok Verlag developed in 2007 as publishing project following the encounter of multimedia artist Christoph Ruckhäberle with graphic designer and printer Thomas Siemon. Their shared fascination with artist books and enthusiasm about graphic art propelled the idea behind Lubok Verlag - to publish graphic books with original linocuts by contemporary artists in high editions. The books are printed directly from linoleum plates on an old letterpress machine, seeking to make graphic art available at more affordable prices. Their program also includes offset publications in the fields of collage, photography, drawing and conceptual art.
