Afterimage: The Journal of Media Arts and Cultural Criticism is a publication of the Visual Studies Workshop, a non-profit media arts center located in Rochester, New York. For over 30 years, Afterimage has been an important voice in the photography, film, video and visual book community.

Features of this issue include “Trauma and Agitation: Video Games in a Time of War” by Claudia Pederson, “Under Construction: A Conversation with Stanley Greenberg” by Stephen Longmire, and “Spatial Poetics: The (Non)Destinations of Augmented Reality Art” by Christine Ross. With other contributions by Francis Frascina, Rachel Stevens, Alisa G. Chase, Harriet Riches, Outi Remes, and Jody Zellen, and a portfolio by Joseph Desler Costa entitled “You Are Never Alone.”
