Imagine is a conceptual artist book and work of poetry by Icelandic artist skúta. One ephemeral page of text, traverses through the publication, taking on new meaning as words evaporate.
Skúta Helgason is an artist from Iceland who lives and works in New York City. In the 1980’s, he ran a concept bookstore, devoted to artist books, in Washington D.C. He worked for many years as an artist and publisher in Berlin before settling in New York City in the 1990s. He opened ARTBOOK at MoMA PS1 in 2004, which continues to be a leading contemporary art book store in Queens, New York.
Boekie Woekie is an Amsterdam based publisher. Since the 1980’s, Boekie Woekie has been producing artist books and poetry as well as holding readings and exhibitions in their gallery space. A mainstay at art book fairs all over the world, Boekie Woekie continues to serve as a platform for both Amsterdam and international artists.
