Cali Thornhill DeWitt’s Adult Books was produced as a Fundraising Edition for the 2015 LA Art Book Fair. The edition of 100 contains an uncanny cyan image of latex-gloved hands, accompanied by the words “ADULT BOOKS” in DeWitt’s infamous bold sans-serif typeface. The print on vinyl is on corrugated plastic and comes in two color variations: white text on black and black text on white. The print evokes sci-fi operations and adult movies in order to produce a work containing dry humor and palpable desire.
