Feriealbum is a photobook by Danish artist Hans E Madsen published by Space Poetry. Feriealbum uses the logic of a vacation album, a collection of photos of lazy, sun-drenched memories which serve as a respite from the monotony of everyday life. However, instead of images of tropical vacations, Madsen finds moments of beauty and relief in the mundane. Images of banal objects, like an empty plastic cup, are cropped and abstracted into a painterly form. Feriealbum finds breaks from the familiar within the familiar in this full color artist book.
