This book regroups 18 interviews of artists, curators and writers conducted by David Chan and Troy Wong, two art students about to graduate from college “eager to phrase their uprising anxieties as questions”, looking for answers that would reassure their insecurities that appear as they plunge into a new unknown. The interviewees are “ role model[s] in their personal, artistic, or academic lives”, as explained by David Chan in his introduction. Many of the questions asked by these young artists allow us to witness the beautiful vulnerabilities that exist even amongst some of the most successful, established individuals in the art field :
“Of course, I’m afraid of things”, Wolfgang Tillmans.
