British artist Martin Creed (b. 1968), best known for his installation work, produces art that asks the viewer to reassess the quotidian and acquaint oneself with the beauty of the everyday. Often working with vernacular objects such as balloons and product packaging, Creed focuses on the experience of viewing material objects within the framework of visual art and how we subsequently assign them value. Martin Creed has exhibited both nationally and internationally at the National Gallery of Singapore, ARCOmadrid, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, Museum Moderner Kunst, Vienna, and numerous others.
