The Peter File is a collection of images both of created artworks and documentary photographs made by Peter Cramer from 1994 to 2018 created for Printed Matters’ New York Art Book Fair 2018 and presented by Allied Productions,Inc.. Themes include street art, nature, sex, and AIDS.
Peter Cramer is an Interdisciplinary artist & activist living on the Lower East Side since 1981. His films, installations and performances has been featured in nightclubs, alternative spaces, museums and cultural centers internationally. Notable achievements include with his partner Jack Waters, the co-creation of Allied Productions Inc non profit arts umbrella in 1981, serving as directors of ABC No Rio alternative art collective from 1983-1990, co-founder Le Petit Versailles (1996) community garden based in New York City. and co-founder of NYOBS, an free associative improv “kitchen band” most recently performed at The Whitney Museum and Empirical Nonsense Gallery.
