“Placeholder No. 33” is the MOLAF’s first multiple. Handmade in maple, cherry, and walnut, the placeholder was produced by the MOLAF in response to its thirty-third acquisition; “Étant donnés” (2012) by Joanna Klass and Wojtek Szaszor, and can be used as a bookmark or otherwise.

The Museum of Longing and Failure (MOLAF) is a collecting entity established in 2010 in Bergen, Norway by Andrew Taggart and Chloe Lewis. Exploring a fluidity between institution, artwork, and author, The MOLAF takes shape through a sustained conversation with living artists and collectives, whose contributed sculptures form the basis of exhibitions, interventions, publications, and the production of new objects by the MOLAF itself.
