F is a biannual magazine published and edited by Adam Marnie. This issue presents lyrical, personal essays; poetry; experimental writing; and mixed media artwork from 44 contributors that hinge on the theme of “The Spirit.” Within this issue’s thematic matrix, the dominant subject of mortality is approached from multifarious angles by the magazine’s contributors, but unique variations on the theme abound. Readers can expect to find art criticism inspired by Gnostic theology, a personal reflection on the humanism of anthropomorphized sex toys, and a case study of a man who claims the ability to transmutate thought into photographs. Other topics include drug-induced ego death, digital gravesites, the fictional undead, and the reservoirs of the Colorado River.
Contributors include Kerry Schuss, David Schoerner, Alex Roth, Tracy Molis, Jessica Baldanza, Maura Callahan, Joe Jagos, Michael Dopp, Naomi Larbi, Liz Lee, Garrett Bradley, Jacques Vidal, Peggy Ahwesh, Violet Williams, Kandis Williams, Hannah Karsen, Miles Huston, Mary Manning, Sandy Goldstein, Anne Doran, Violet Saxon, Jason S.
