Performance Art (published by Performing Arts Journal and later renamed Live) was a New York City-based arts magazine established in 1979 and edited by Bonnie Marranca and Gautam Dasgupta. In addition to in depth coverage of visual arts, Live includes artist writings, interviews, dialogues, and documentation, making it an indispensable record of the cross-media avant-garde in New York City and beyond.
Issue 2 features works and writings on acting, music, business, and sound by Tony Mascatello, Scott Burton, Laurie Anderson, Clair Wolfe, Rachel Rosenthal, Bérénice Reynaud, and others.
