Silence is Violence: A poster depicting various ways to speak out against injustice. The poster features illustrations of protestors holding signs and megaphones, as well as protesting by signing online petitions and calling their local politicians. The poster says: “Speak Against Injustice Silence is Violence”, written in the english alphabet and “Resist” written as illustrations of hands spelling out the word in American Sign Language. Two protestors are holding megaphones which say “Black Lives Matter,” and “Defund the Police.” I have both a colour version and black and white version available to be used for free for protests and postering.
I am a white settler working and living on on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. Also known as “Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.” I have included some links for local initiatives that help our local Black, Indigenous and at risk communities. - Kirsten Hatfield
