The Other Almanac is a reimagining of The Old Farmer’s Almanac.
It’s time for a new almanac - one that is deep, meaningful, and bridges across the urban and rural divide here in the US. There are still small wisdoms, articles, tips, calendars, and star guides, but The Other Almanac includes words and art from professors, farmworkers, scientists, medicine makers, incarcerated poets, activists, astrologers, midwives, and more. Our 2022 edition is the first of many Other Almanacs to come.
Our goal is to make a yearly and financially accessible publication that can be carried in gas stations, bookstores, deli’s, museums, community centers, gardening stores, supermarkets and more.
Our 2022 edition includes work from Yoko Ono, Amy Goodman, BIPOC Adult Industry Collective, Chris Martin, Rindon Johnson, David Zilber, Justice Arts Coalition, Tamara Gonzales, Ilana Harris-Babou, Francesca Capone, Khaled Hourani, Daniel Arnold, and many more.
