Reevaluating the scholarly knowledge about Dada and its legacy, this publication reconstructs how Dada was (re)invented in the 1950s and the 1960s, especially by the Dada protagonists themselves, and asks to what extent Dada’s impulses are still relevant regarding current aesthetic, literary and cultural analyses.

Dada has existed for over 100 years. But what does it mean to come back to Dada? How does Dada live on? How does Dada return? The four volumes in this collection offer answers to these questions and explore how Dada has written itself into our cultural history.

Published following the eponymous international symposium organized by Agathe Mareuge and Sandro Zanetti at Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich, in 2016, on the occasion of the centenary of Dada.
