+PHOTO MEMORIES OF THE IN-BETWEEN recreates a vacation photo album of moments and locations captured with a disposable camera between Puerto Rico and New York, or entre aquí y allá, exploring ideas of belonging and migration between two locations with a long history of vaivén.

Wearing a blue tarp mask, previously worn in past performance works and referencing the iconographic material in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, this singular yet collective individual moves through different tourist locations within both spaces as a process of belonging and mark making.

This individual ends by visiting the beach, being photographed buried in the sand, with only their blue tarp covered face exposed, looking silently and calmly at the passerby taking their photo memory for posterity. -Publisher
