Lendroit éditions was founded in 2001, and opened in 2003 in Rennes. It is located in Rennes city centre since 2014. As a publishing house, bookstore, and art gallery, it has always been committed to making the editorial experimentation and the issues raised by the notion of reproducibility in art known and visible.
In the context of collections or specific projects, we work with artists who experiment and create artwork in multiple formats with printing methods adapted to their projects. Through the use of print as the artistic medium, artists meet the ambition to make each edition a work that is both an original and a multiplied copy.
Our catalog ranges from fanzines to multiples (three-dimensional works published in several copies) and reflects the diversity of artists’ editions. The publications of the association are for sale in our bookstore, alongside those of other specialist publishers and artists and screen printers, whose practice is based on self-publishing. The bookstore’s selection is made with the idea to complement the productions of Lendroit éditions, and the stock is built up through meetings and collaborations. […]
This plural vocation illustrates the desire to make contemporary art accessible and affordable: everyone –amateur or simply curious– can become a collector and become familiar with current creation. […]
Lendroit éditions is a publishing house dedicated to art, artists, and paper.
