Japanese Young Artists’ Books Fair

Printed Matter is pleased to host the JAPANESE YOUNG ARTISTS BOOKS FAIR, the 8th annual book fair of contemporary artists’ books put on by PEPPER’S PROJECT, a Tokyo-based gallery and art project. The fair includes a wide range of handmade books including artists’ books, photography books, art objects and others items. The material is on view February 27 – March 11 at the Printed Matter storefront.

The JAPANESE YOUNG ARTISTS BOOKS FAIR is taking place simultaneously across 3 bookstores throughout New York – including Kinokuniya Bookstores, and Book Court. It represents one of the biggest and most varied assemblings of art books made by Japanese artists in New York City.

This year’s presentation at Printed Matter will include works by Yoko Naito, Yuriko Katori, Misaki Matsui, Fumio Tanai, CHIE, Haruna Yasui, Sayuri Ideno, Yoshiyuki Maeda, Azua Hayashi, yoppii
