Multimedia artist Doron Sadja’s newest work BREATH HEART SKIN is the first release from SHINKOBOOK, a series of book/album hybrids published by Shinkoyo.

Taking the form of an artists’ book, the album is a beautiful 20 page full color publication featuring photographs of cloud formations shot by the artist from the window of his Brooklyn apartment. The effect of natural light has been amplified with dramatic color-saturation into gorgeous bands of sky, as though layers of dirt are being lifted from a Renaissance painting. A white rectilinear border placed over the forms gives the sensation of holding something powerful in frame, and feels familiar from Sadja’s unique breed of high intensity electronic music. The book includes a digital download of his composition BREATH HEART SKIN.

Originally commissioned by Issue Project Room (NYC) for their 19.2 channel sound system, BREATH HEART SKIN is a slow, dense, and brutally synthetic work of electronic beauty.

On occasion of the launch, Sadja will perform in store starting at 6 PM.
