Deanna Havas was born in New York City in 1989, where she currently lives and works. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2011.

Social Malpractice Publishing is an artist-run label based in Brooklyn, NY. SMP was founded by Sean J Patrick Carney in Portland, OR in 2009.
