Soft City launches their new title Ah Yes Bad Things, the second book by New York based artist Andrea McGinty. McGinty will read selections from the book, accompanied by Al Bedell, Sean J Patrick Carney, Jayson Musson, and Darcie Wilder.

Ah Yes Bad Things reconfigures fragmented texts from the artist’s Twitter account, text messages, and personal notes with cell phone images from her camera roll. The result is a sparse stream of poetic fails, with devastating and banal experiences tempered by self-deprecating wit. Texts previously published by Packet Biweekly in 2015 and Bonefold Compiles in 2016 sit alongside new work and images.
