Since the mid 1980s, Printed Matter has maintained an extensive database for information about artists’ books, resulting in one of the world’s largest collections of material related to the subject. A dedicated staff member maintains records of all inventory that comes through the store. The bibliographic data includes full publication information and is supplemented by a written synopsis and images for each title. The search-friendly catalog currently includes 45,120 records, which include items currently carried by Printed Matter and an archive of titles previously in stock.
